Medical grade PCB epoxy resin substrates are core insulating materials specially developed for medical electronic equipment, which must meet strict medical safety standards, biological compatibility requirements, high-temperature sterilization resistance, low volatile emission, non-toxic harmless property and stable electrical insulation performance, and are widely used in medical diagnostic instruments, surgical auxiliary equipment, portable medical monitoring devices, implantable auxiliary electronic components and hospital intelligent medical control systems. There are multiple mainstream classified medical grade epoxy resin PCB substrates in the industry with different performance orientations.

The first category is high flame-retardant medical standard FR-4 epoxy resin substrate, which is the most widely used universal medical grade base material. It adopts halogen-free low-toxicity epoxy resin formula, conforms to international medical biological safety certification, features excellent flame retardancy, stable mechanical toughness and moderate thermal conductivity, and can withstand conventional high-temperature steam disinfection and ultraviolet disinfection without releasing harmful substances. This substrate has stable insulation resistance, low water absorption and low dielectric loss, suitable for most common medical electronic devices such as blood pressure monitors, electrocardiograph equipment and medical display control boards, and it is low in cost and easy for mass production and processing.

The second type is high-temperature resistant modified epoxy resin medical PCB substrate, which is optimized and modified on the basis of traditional epoxy resin structure, added with high-temperature resistant filler and stable curing agent, capable of enduring long-term high-temperature disinfection above 135and repeated high-pressure sterilization cycles without substrate deformation, delamination, insulation performance decline and resin aging discoloration. It owns outstanding thermal stability and chemical corrosion resistance, resistant to medical alcohol disinfection liquid, disinfectant and various medical auxiliary solution erosion, mainly applied in surgical high-temperature operating equipment and medical disinfection integrated control circuit boards.

The third kind is low-dust ultra-clean medical grade epoxy resin substrate, manufactured in ultra-clean production workshop with ultra-pure raw material formula, featuring extremely low dust precipitation, low ion precipitation and zero harmful volatile substance precipitation, fully meeting the purification level requirements of medical sterile operating rooms and laboratory precision medical instruments. This substrate will not produce fine particle shedding in long-term use, avoiding pollution to medical sterile environment and precision medical detection components, commonly used in laboratory medical detection analyzers and sterile medical precision testing equipment.

The fourth category is flexible medical grade epoxy composite resin substrate, combining epoxy resin insulating layer with flexible reinforcing material, possessing both excellent insulation performance of medical epoxy resin and bending resistant flexible characteristics, suitable for wearable medical monitoring equipment, flexible medical implant auxiliary circuit boards and portable foldable medical electronic devices, with good bending fatigue resistance and long-term biological contact safety.
